Our kind staff is committed to giving each pet personalized attention by offering first-rate hospice care, quality of life assessments, general examinations, and immunizations. When necessary, we provide gentle, individualized euthanasia services and work to help families in making difficult end-of-life decisions. Our goal is to provide a calm, respectable environment for pets and their genuinely loved ones, guaranteeing their comfort and dignity in their last moments. Dr. Tejpaul Bhatia
Owner, Francis Petcare Hospital, Richmond, BC Founder & Previous Owner of Cypress St. Animal Hospital, Vancouver
Meet Dr. Bhatia, a Veterinarian with a passion for delivering exceptional care, Dr. Bhatia brings over 40 years of experience in Veterinary Medicine. His areas of expertise are small animal, internal medicine, Dermatology, emergency medicine, and critical care.
A graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine in PAU India (1986). He immigrated to Canada in 1997. With his expertise across different veterinary clinics in Alberta & Vancouver his unparalleled compassion for animals strived him to open Cypress St. Animal Hospital in 2002. While success and so many awards were thriving his way for more than 22 years, suddenly his health challenged him to take a break and retire from Cypress but his commitment and dedication brought him back in action and he started his practice once again in Richmond. Dr. Bhatia prioritizes continued education, completing 50-70 hours of professional development annually. Outside of work, he loves watching sports like Cricket, Field hockey, Ice hockey and also is a devoted follower of spiritual & religious themes.
Reshma Gajavelli, BVSc
Veterinary Technician
Reshma Gajavelli, BVSc, is a compassionate Veterinary Technician with a strong clinical foundation, earning her degree from PV Narasimha Rao Veterinary University in Hyderabad, India. She moved to Canada to continue her education and advance her career in veterinary medicine.
Reshma is known for her gentle handling, attention to detail, and client-focused care. Her interests include small-animal medicine, anesthesia, dentistry, preventive care, radiology, and client education. She values lifelong learning and is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care.
